She was predeceased by : her husband Edward Soares; her parents, Albert Freitas and Elisa Freitas (Castro); and her siblings, Abel Freitas, Anthony Freitas, Louis C Freitas, Philomena Rezendes and Cecilia Souza.

She is survived by : her nieces, Kathleen Gude (Kervin) of Fall River and Delores Anderson (Paul) of Lunenburg, MA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John of God Church (1036 Brayton Ave, Somerset, MA 02726). A burial was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at the Notre Dame Cemetery (1540 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA 02724).
