Nick Lowther lit a candle

“I have been privileged to know and to work with Gary for the past 20 years at JRC. During all of those 20 years, Gary's compassion, energy, commitment to ethical practice (to doing the right thing, always), knowledge, intelligence, positivity and sense of humor were remarkable and unwavering, even under intense pressure. I enjoyed countless conversations with Gary as we wrapped up our workdays. I was always happier and wiser as a result of talking with Gary.”

Bob Worsham wrote a sympathy message

“I first met Gary in late 1987 when we both started working part time for JRC (BRI at the time). I learned so much from him early on by watching his expert testimony in court cases. He was a consummate professional in his field and a good friend over all these years. I will miss him greatly and send my thoughts to his family.”

Nathan Blenkush wrote a sympathy message

“Gary was an amazing teacher, colleague, and caregiver. Gary taught me about every aspect of competency evaluations; the intersection of law and psychology; and the importance of individualized care of patients. He was gregarious and erudite and often regaled his colleagues with stories about his professional experiences. Gary provided excellent care to his patients. He was detail oriented, caring, and placed the needs of his patients first. He will be missed greatly and thought of often.”

Greg Cowan wrote a sympathy message

“Gary leaves a palpable void in our "Young Psychologists" Men's Group. His keen intelligence, vast knowledge on a myriad of subjects, quick wit and delightful sense of humor will be sorely missed. The world has lost a remarkable man who possessed a kind and noble spirit and was the most generous, unselfish person you'd ever want to know. The profundity of this loss for us all, especially his family, lacks words. You left us way too soon Gary.”

Andy Pond wrote a sympathy message

“I worked with Gary for decades. There never was a more decent, caring person. He was our “go-to” guy for any complex clinical/legal situation that required a thoughtful and thorough response. He was absolutely brilliant, and beloved by his staff. He was conscientious about every aspect of his work, and his work changed many, many lives for the better. He is gone too soon, but his legacy will continue. I’ll miss knowing that he’s around. His family has my deepest, heartfelt sympathy.”
