He was predeceased by: his son Robert Raposa; his grandson Robert Jr.; and his sisters, Mary and Evangelina Raposa. He is survived by: his wife Maria Raposa (Silvia); his children, Donna Raposa (Antonio Ferreira), Debbie McHugh (Tom Gouker) and Paul Raposa (Debbie); his grandchildren, Gilbert, Joseph (Erin), Kimberly, Cheyenne and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Autumn, Carlton and Maria. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
