He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Margarida Rego (Viveiros); and his sister Maria Borges. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Rego of Somerset and Belmira Deschenes (Raymond) of Somerset; his grandsons, Bryan Deschenes and Dylan Deschenes; his great grandchild Brody; and his siblings, Diamentina, Conceicao, Alfred and Francisco Rego. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
