She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald T. "Jerry" Carpenter, Sr.; and her parents, Normand Joseph Cournoyer, Sr. and Margaret Ann Cournoyer (Hague). She is survived by: her children, Gerald T. Carpenter, Jr. and Susanne Moran; her grandchildren, Brian Tretter, Timothy J. Tretter, Matthew Carpenter and Amanda Moran; her great grandchildren, Sean, Isaiah and Isabella; and her sister Nancy O'Brien (John). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
