It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marina Moniz of Somerset, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 28, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marina Moniz to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Sousa Pavao and Gilda Pavao (Cabral); and her brothers, Laurenio Pavao and Manuel Pavao. She is survived by: her husband Ronald J. Moniz; her children, Ronald J. Moniz, Jr. (Alicia) of Somerset, Stephanie Abdallah of Somerset and Melissa Medeiros (Tony) of North Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Morgan (Cameron), Camron, Erin, Tyler and Alex; and her siblings, Cidalia Lopes of Fall River, Gilberta Marques of Fall River, Aurelio Pavao of Fall River, Alda Melo of Westport and Olimpio Pavao of Tiverton, RI. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Silva-Faria Somerset Funeral Home (84 County St, Somerset, MA 02726). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John of God Church (1036 Brayton Ave, Somerset, MA 02726).
