She was predeceased by: her husband John Almeida; her parents, Stephen F. Soares and Helen "Lena" Soares (Furtado); and her grandchild Ryan Alves. She is survived by: her children, John Almeida, Susanne Alves (Joe), Wayne Almeida and Michael Almeida (Jessica); her brothers, Stephen Soares, Joseph Soares, John and William "Billy" Soares; her grandchildren, Kendra Almeida, Ashley Alves, Makayla Almeida and Michael Almeida; and her great grandchild Charolette Cooper. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Nathan Slade Cemetery (220 Prospect St, Somerset, MA 02726).
