He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Durette (Mayher); his parents, Aime P. Durette and Rita Durette (Menard); his son Brian R. Durette; and his sister Claudette Firlit.

He is survived by: his children, Kathleen A. Johnson (Michael), Patti A. Copeland (Mark), Robert M. Durette and James R. Durette; his grandchildren, Zachary Wilkinson, Mackenzie Johnson, Kelly Johnson, Emily Wilkinson, Thomas Durette, Riley Durette, Hannah Wilkinson, Madisyn Durette, Isaac Durette and Ainsley Durette; and his siblings, Richard, Paul, Gerard, Donald, Marc, Dennis, Janet Longo, Claire Rabbit and Nannette Phillips.
