He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Kakles (Reardon) and Nicholas C. Kakles; his nephew Bernard J. "Bernie" Brown, III; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, David Kakles, Carissa Kakles, Arianna Kakles, Cassandra Kakles, Olivia Brown and Ruby Giarratano.
He is survived by: his siblings, Nicholas C. Kakles, Jr. and Donna E. Brown (Kakles) of Malden; and his siblings' children, Nicholas Kakles, III, David Kakles, Christopher P. Brown and Wendy Brown.
