It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claire A. Desaulniers of Somerville, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clara Desrochers (Gelinas) and Alphonse Desrochers; and her siblings, Normand (Nancy), Jill (Blair), Flo (William), Robert (Beth), Roger (Wilma) and Leo (Dolores).
She is survived by: her spouse Jean Pierre Desaulniers; her children, Shirley Desaulniers (Walter Medrano) of Somerville, Kathy Lafee (Robert) of Somerville, Debbie Stebbins (Adrian) of Everett, Pierre Desaulniers (Nicole) of Tewksbury, Jason Desaulniers (Kelly) of Methuen and Crystal Desaulniers (Patrick McMahon) of Somerville; and her grandchildren, Shayne, Miranda, Brandon, Cole, Jayden, Alyson, Jacob, Emma, Hollis, Ryder, Aria, Justin and Brendan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A procession will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the George L Doherty Funeral Service (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ann Church (399 Medford St, Somerville, MA 02145). A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (302 Elm St, Everett, MA 02149).
