Daniel M. Pereira Obituary

We bid farewell to Daniel M. Pereira of Somerville, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 17, 2025 at the age of 63. Daniel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Daniel had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Daniel may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joanne Cassell; his children, David Pereira and Julie Pereira (Patrick Raeke); his parents, Artur Pereira and Velademira Pereira; and his siblings, Estrella Sicari and Carlos Pereira. He was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ann's Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Danny's memory may be made to the Somerville High School Football team at 81 Highland Ave, Somerville, MA 02145, Attn: Athletics.
