It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Giuseppina Lorenti of Somerville, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Giuseppina may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Damiano Pedagna and Maria Pia Pedagna (D'Adamo); her spouse Taddeo S. Lorenti; and her sisters, Florence Ciccariello (Salvatore) and Elisa DiSchino (Damiano).
She is survived by: her children, Alexander Lorenti (Connie) of Somerville and Mary Lorenti of Somerville; and her grandchildren, Alex Lorenti of Saugus and Amanda Lorenti of Somerville. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A procession will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine Church (179 Summer St, Somerville, MA 02143). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 11:45 AM at 33 Franklin St, Reading, MA 01867.
