She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Bacon and Hilda Bacon; her spouse Stefano Angelo Caputo; and her sister Janice Campano. She is survived by: her children, Sal Caputo (Amy) of Dracut, Grace Caputo Kalimungabo of Somerville, Angela Caputo Griswold (David) of Chelmsford and Donna Caputo of Somerville; her grandchildren, Owen Griswold, Samantha Caputo, Ellen Griswold, Adam Kalimungabo and Christina Caputo; her nephew Paul Campano of Boston; and her nieces, Grazia Losco and Fiorella Losco of Italy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway Street, Lowell, MA 01854, honoring her lifelong love and advocacy for animals.
