He was predeceased by: his wife Hilda R. (Forristall); his daughter Elaine M. Burpee of Woburn; his grandson Robert J. Spears, Jr. of Florida; his parents, James McConnell and Margaret McConnell (Flynn); and his sister Mary Frances.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara L. Allara (Eugene Allara) of Portola and Joseph F., Jr. of Danvers; his grandchildren, Eugene M. Allara (Christine) of Carson City, Tracy Arauza (Dan) of Norfolk, Virginia and Melonie Allara of Portola; his great grandchildren, Breanna Hidalgo, Kelsey Sison, Kaitlin Bates, Jocelyn Campbell, Sophia Allara, Kathleen Bryant and DJ Arauza; and his great great grandchild Kairi Sison.
