Mary E. Ward Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary E. Ward of Somerville, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 19, 2022 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary E. Ward to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Dennis J. Ward; her brothers, Michael Moriarty of Kenmare, Patrick Moriarty (Joan) of Walpole and Daniel Moriarty of Kenmare; and her parents, Joseph Moriarty and Annie Moriarty (O'Sullivan).

She is survived by: her children, Anne Marie Ward Scribner (Daniel) of Hanover, Mary Ellen Tiano of Chelmsford, Kathleen Rose Kumar (Rajinder) of Medford and Dennis J. Ward of Somerville; her siblings, John Moriarty (Margaret) of Kenmare, Joseph Moriarty (late Elizabeth) of West Roxbury, Anna Lynch (late Michael) of Kenmare and Kerry; her grandchildren, Mary-Kate, Michael-Krishna, Megan, Maggie, Brian, Kathleen-Neelam and Peter; her friends, Ted and Kay O'Shea of Gloucester; William Murphy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

On March 19, 2022, after a 2-year hiatus due to COVID, the St. Patrick's Day celebration was the largest attended dinner to date.
