With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Hartnett of Somerville, Massachusetts, born in Charlestown, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2026 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Mickey" Hartnett and Mary Louise Hartnett (McLaughlin); his siblings, Teddy and John Hartnett; his siblings-in-law, Marie Hartnett, Jack Mulhern, Vincent Cavallo (Marcia Spraker-Cavallo) and Roger Cavallo (Colleen); and his aunts and uncles, Bob and Pat Walles.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Cavallo-Hartnett of Somerville; his sisters, Maureen Mulhern, Eunice Derenne, Anne Arria and Dorothy Randall; his siblings-in-law, Dominique Derenne, Chuckie Arria and Frances Cavallo; and his cousins, Scott Walles, Judy McGrath (Dave), Rob Walles (Donna) and Steve Walles. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
