As we bid Sylvester O'Dell farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sylvester O'Dell is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sarah J. MacDonald (Wallace) and Donald Angus MacDonald.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Genoa Church (185 Summer St, Somerville, MA 02143). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers donations in Sylvester's memory can be made to St. Catherine Church or to a charity of your choice.
