Theodore Karavakis Obituary

We announce the death of Theodore Karavakis (Somerville, Massachusetts), who passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 88. Theodore will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Theodore will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Theodore will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Theodore’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Karavakis and Georgia Karavakis; and his siblings, George Karavakis and Aggeliki Smirnis. He is survived by: his wife Pauline; his children, Georgia Ververis (Michael) of Medford and Daniel Karavakis (Anna) of Burlington; and his granddaughter Polixeni. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theodore's memory to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Church in Somerville, MA.
