Louis Coxe Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on May 27, 2025, at the age of 75, Louis Coxe of South Boston, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Louis is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Louis' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Winsor Coxe (Gro) of Kennesaw and Helen Eyre Coxe (David Lay) of Cumberland Center, Maine; and his nieces and nephews, Charles Olav Coxe (Jennifer) of West Orange, Inger Winsor Wood (Jared) of Statesboro, Ben Cheney of Taipei and Hilary Cheney of East Boston, Massachusetts. He is also survived by four great-nieces and nephews.

Like his brother, father and grandfather before him, Lou's final years were marred by Alzheimer's disease; those who would like to donate are encouraged to consider making a gift to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (alzfdn.org).
