The family announces the passing of Maureen M. Shea of South Boston, Massachusetts on October 7, 2026. Maureen, born on January 24, 1944, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Shea and Mary Shea (Pinero). She is survived by: her significant other Michael T. Quinn; her siblings, Karen Shea, Walter Shea, Jr. and Mary Ann Shea Zona (Leo Zona); and her nieces and nephews, Christopher Zona, Kerri Steen, Valentina Zona, Savanna Shea, Max Shea, Ella, Oliver Steen and Quinn. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (146 Dorchester St, Boston, MA 02127). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Brigid Church.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Maureen may be made to South Boston.
