He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Nee (Fitzgerald) and Joseph Nee Sr.; and his siblings, William Nee, Joseph "DoDo" Nee, James Nee and Donna Casper.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda Bausemer (late Daniel Bausemer) and Sean Nee (Katie); his grandchildren, Lila, Jack Bausemer, Thomas and Mary Nee; his sister Peggy Doyle (Frank); and his siblings-in-law, Susan Nee and Joseph Casper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the F. Spencer Funeral Service (575 E Broadway, Boston, MA 02127). A Mass was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gate of Heaven Catholic Church (615 E 4th St, South Boston, MA 02127).
