He is survived by: his sister Karen Hamel of Chicopee; his nieces and nephews, Heather Vazquez of Holyoke, Jennifer Hamel-Paul of Enfield, CT, Brian Hamel of South Hadley and Kevin Hamel of Chicopee; his great-nephews, Jalen Brown of Chicopee and Brevin Brown of Charlotte, NC; and his close friend Kevin Dorman of Holyoke.
