It is with sadness that the passing of Joan Harp (South Hadley, Massachusetts) is shared. Joan, born on November 20, 1933, passed away on July 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Joan will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Joan by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Joan is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Joan’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Hutchinson and Laura Hutchinson; her former husband Charles Harp; her daughters, Phyllis Lee and Laurie Harp; and her brother Lon Douglas.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Harp; and her grandson Satchel Harp-Monseau.
In lieu of flowers, the family strongly requests that donations be made in Joan's memory to Dakin Humane Society in Springfield or to a pet-related charity of your choice, in honor of her lifelong devotion to animals.
