The passing of Joseph R. Nadeau of South Hadley, Massachusetts, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 12, 2025 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul E. Nadeau and Etta C. Nadeau (Daviau); his son Joseph Nadeau; and his grandson Bradlee J. Nadeau. He is survived by: his wife Doris L. Nadeau (Roy); his sons, Philip W. Nadeau (Candace) of Chicopee and Gary L. Nadeau (Julie) of Easthampton; his daughter-in-law Joan Murphy of Chicopee; his grandchildren, Ashlee and Benjamin Nadeau; and his siblings, Paul E. "Chip" Nadeau, Jr. (Joan) of Grafton, Julie M. Gonyer (Ann) of Granby and Mary Ann Corbeil (Peter) of Whittier, CA. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels (506 Britton St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Theresa of Lisieux Church (9 E Parkview Dr, South Hadley, MA 01075).
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Bradlee J. Nadeau Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o 40 Campbell Drive, Easthampton, MA 01027.
