He was predeceased by: his parents, James Joseph Murphy and Margaret Nagle Murphy; his son Robert; his former wife Nancy; and his daughter Moira.
He is survived by: his wife Miriam Elliott Keefe; his son Stephen Nagle Murphy of Las Vegas, NV; his stepchildren, Colleen Lyons, Megan Walker, Jeremiah, Sean, Kevin and Brendan Keefe; and his grandchildren, Stephan, Johan Aguilar, Amirah and Ariana Orozco. He is also survived by sixteen step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
