He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine and Tom of Alzheimer's Disease; his sisters, Ellen and Margaret (Margie); and his brothers-in-law, Thomas Mahony, William Davis and James Hanifin.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Murphy (Shepherd); his children, Thomas, Charles (Kristin), Charlotte Sullivan and Gregory (Amber); his grandchildren, Josephine Frances Sullivan (Josie), Devin Murphy, Thomas F. Murphy, Lucas Murphy (Luke), Katherine Murphy (Katya), Miles Murphy, Liam Murphy and Ava Murphy; his sisters, Anne, Katherine (Katie), Mary and Patricia; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Thibault, Charles Shepherd (Chuck) and Richard Christensen; his goddaughters, Donna Mahony, Patty Booker (Delbou), Kathleen Davis (Hanifin) and Katherine Murphy (Kathy); his granddaughter Charlotte Rose Sullivan; his son Charlie; and his granddaughters, Josie and Charlotte Rose. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Casper Funeral Home (187 Dorchester St, Boston, MA 02127). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Agatha's Church (432 Adams St, Milton, MA 02186).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Jimmy Fund, a cause close to Tom's heart, or to The Alzheimer's Association.
