He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Powers and Geraldine Powers; and his siblings, Rita Austin (Jack) and Stephen Powers. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Fernandes-Powers of Halifax; and his sister Ellen Hannigan (Wayne). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, dear friends, and neighbors.
