In loving memory of James A. McBride Jr. of Southborough, Massachusetts, who departed this world on July 26, 2025 at the age of 59. James leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. As James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his wife Dr. Marcia L. Valente of Southborough; his children, Elizabeth "Libby" McBride of Tyngsboro and James V. McBride of Southborough; his mother Phyllis McBride; and his brother Andrew "Andy" McBride (Deb). He is also survived by Golden Retriever, "Josie", as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Short & Rowe Funeral Home (95 W Main St, Marlborough, MA 01752). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Marks Episcopal Church (27 Main St, Southborough, MA 01772).
