He is survived by: his wife Helen Varney (Walkup); his children, Brenda O'Rourke (Kevin), Mark Varney (Vicky Fontaine) and Christina Almada (Edward); his grandchildren, Rachel Hatstat (Frederick), Jennifer Palestini (Marc), Bradley Varney (Bridget), Hillary O'Rourke and Thomas Lane; and his siblings, Robert Varney (Karen), Barbara Coville and Janet Nix.
