He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Bates (Holder); his children, Gary Bates, Cherilyn Wood (Bates), Preston Law and Kelly Monce (Paper); his grandchildren, David Bates, Jonathan Bates, Chelsea Noelle Garcia (Marshall), Concetta Law, Blake Law, Benjamin Monce, Jacob Monce and Eleanor Monce; his great grandchildren, Gene A. Bates, Jack Bates, John Bates and Dean Bates; and his sister Susan Hahn (Bates) of Norfolk, VA..
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Southwick Congregational Church (488 College Hwy, Southwick, MA 01077).
