He is survived by: his parents, John "Jack" Canavan and Regina McCarthy Sears; his children, Gabriel, Liam and Livian Canavan; his siblings, William Canavan, Kathleen Canavan, Kevin Sears, Kerry Sears and Christine Canavan; and his siblings' children, Megan, Liz, Ashley, Sean, Jacob and Travis.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of the Acres (21 Tinkham Rd, Springfield, MA 01129). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church (405 Boston Rd, Springfield, MA 01109).
