He is survived by: his son Carlton Brian Jordan Staples; his grandson Brady James Staples; his goddaughter Kelly Conway; his great-nieces, Haylee Anne Conway and Isabella Jordan Conway; his sister Priscilla Anne Staples; and his sister-in-law Cynthia Staples.
