She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Valentine and Hattie Bell (Copeland); her husband Lloyd A. Austin; her children, Carroll "Ricky" Copeland, Lloyd C and Evangeline "Van" Austin; and her siblings, Charlie Copeland, Curtis Jordan, Elton Jordan and Elizabeth Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, James Copeland of Edenton and Teresa Austin of Springfield; and her sister Doris Jordan of Springfield. She is also survived by grandchildren, and other relatives.
