She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Grover and Pearl Grover (Dyo); her husband Charles Thomas; her son David Emerson; and her sister Julia Emerson.

She is survived by: her children, Georgia Kopel (John Pokorny) of Oakhurst, CA, Francis Emerson of East Longmeadow and Karl Emerson of Yuba City, CA; her daughter-in-law Nancy Emerson; and her grandchildren, Matthew, Mark Emerson, Jenna, Drew Kopel and Eric Emerson. She is also survived by six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
