He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Roy and Isabel Roy (Falk); his siblings, Frederick "Sonny Jim", Charles, Beatrice, Leah and Carol; and his son James Murphy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna (Christopher Kowalski) and Cathleen (David Hoeltke); and his sister-in-law Alma Roy. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews as well as numerous extended family.
