He was predeceased by : his father Harold Bernard. He is survived by : his mother Joan Staples (Terzi); his wife Sharon Martins-Bernard; his stepfather Ralph Staples of Maine; his sons, Alex Bernard of Palmer and Nicholas Bernard (Marie Valliere) of Monson; his brothers, Arnold Bernard (Kathy Jurkowski) of Wilbraham and Peter Bernard (Elizabeth) of Stafford, CT; his stepson Evan LeBeau; and his granddaughter Ellianne LeBeau.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services (15 Ludlow Ave, Springfield, MA 01151). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
