It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward J. Hiney Jr. of Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 1, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Hiney Sr. and Gladys Hiney (Hayward). He is survived by: his wife Sheila Hiney (Sullivan) of Springfield; his sons, Michael Hiney (Sandra) of Burlington, MA and Edward N. Hiney (Wendi Tatro-Hiney) of East Longmeadow; and his grandchildren, Justina Hiney, Allison Hiney, Madison Hiney, Cody Tatro and Cameron Tatro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute or the American Heart Association.
