He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Frances (Mayberry). He is survived by: his wife Marlene Ekmalian; his sons, Keith Ekmalian of Springfield and Joseph Ekmalian (Kathleen) of Longmeadow; his grandsons, Vincent, Nicholas, Anthony and Paul; and his sibling's children, Eric Arena, Lisa and Joanne Cerrone. He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
