It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Wray of Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 1, 2021, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Russell and Bernice Wray; her husband Jerome Pressley; and her brother Johnny Wray. She is survived by: her children, Peter Wray (Jessica) of Northborough, MA, Shalina Wray of East Longmeadow, MA, Ebony Wray, Christopher Prophet, Rashyne Prophet of Springfield, MA and Takisha Hinch of Chicopee, MA; her stepchildren, Jabriel Pressley and Imani Pressley of Boston, MA.; her siblings, Germaine Wray (Amy) of Springfield, MA, Delphine Wray (Paul) of Springfield, MA, Alycia Hill (Eric) of Cotton Plant, MS and Antoinetta; the father of her children Christopher Prophet of Springfield, MA; her godchildren, Lakeisha Prophet of Springfield, MA and Chantel Smith of Columbia, SC; her close friends, Leola Jamison and Rosalind Jackson; and her cousin Regina Spears of Springfield, MA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great grandchild.
