Cotton of Springfield, Massachusetts, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Cotton and Annie Mae Simmons; his stepfather Frank Simmons Jr.; and his siblings, Fred "Willie" Cotton, Frank Simmons, Glensie Gasque, Barbara Simmons and Valerie Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Cara Ryan; his daughters, Yashieka Jones, Sage Cotton, Sarah Cotton and Mercedes Ryan; his sisters, Lucinda Cotton Pegues (Greg), Rosemary Rice (Ted), Jacqueline Simmons Alder, Annette Simmons and Aretha Simmons; and his aunts, Rosie Mae Pinkney (Issac) and Ideila Joyner.
