He is survived by: his wife Beverly Owens; his children, Mijan Owens of Los Angeles, Eric Jefferson of Newark, Cerise Brantley of Alabama, Tuowana Oates of Springfield and John Owens III of Sarasota, Florida; and his sisters, Bernice Walker of Conway, SC., Peggy Bridges of Conway, SC. and Lillie Owens of Conway, SC.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
