With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John D. Wilson of Springfield, Massachusetts, born in Hayneville, Alabama, who passed away on August 21, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wilson and Mary Gadsden (Herbert); his wife Dorothy Wilson (Jenkins); his son Haygood Wilson; and his siblings, Haygood L. Wilson and Dorothy Ann Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Lee of Montgomery, Denise Wilson of Springfield, Pamela M. Miller (Alphonso) of Springfield, Bryce Wilson (Linda) of Springfield and Kenneth Wilson (Theresa) of Cibolo, Texas; his siblings, James Wilson (Ami), Carl Wilson (Magdalena), Calvin Wilson (Willa) of Alabama, Juanita Wilson, Katie Marbury (Arthur Jack) and Mary Wilson of Alabama; and his sister-in-law Jimmie Wilson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends.
