We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2025, at the age of 88, John P. Woodtke Jr. (Springfield, Massachusetts) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John P. Woodtke Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Rose (Russo). He is survived by: his wife Lucille; his children, Laurie Gioielli (Tim) of Springfield, Diane Chantre (James) of Enfield, Janice Pirog (David) of Springfield and John Woodtke (Lyssette) of Georgia; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Cooper), Cody, Joe (Erin), Jeff, Emily (Spencer), Alex, Allison, Johnny (Samantha), Courtney, Joseph, Jeremy, Avery, Josh, Ella and Graham; his great grandchildren, Stella, Emma and Jacob; and his sister-in-law Jeannette. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, dear friends and neighbors, and several cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center (1858 Allen St, Springfield, MA 01118). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery (1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001). A procession will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one of Jack's preferred charities: St. Jude's, the Wounded Warrior Project, or the American Cancer Society.
