He was predeceased by: his wife Luz Minerva Rodriguez Perez; and his parents, Jose Luis Perez and Luz Maria Diaz Perez. He is survived by: his children, Jessica "Red" Perez, Jose "YeYe" Perez III and Jason Louis Perez; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Villafane Sparks, Jannette Velasquez and Nelson "Figgy" Figuroa; his grandchildren, Adonis Perez, Ja-Eysha Perez, Jay-Von Perez, Jaidan Elijah Perez, Jason Louis Perez Jr., Skylyan Villafane, Devin Sparks and Nicholas Sparks; and his great grandchildren, Jaelenis Perez, Jayden Perez, Gionni Recchia and Ediel Reyes.
