He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Montagna; and his brother-in-law Paul Arnold. He is survived by: his wife Janice Montagna (LeBlanc); his children, Joseph Montagna Jr. (Elizabeth) of Holyoke, MA and Caryn Normand (David) of Springfield, MA.; his siblings, Lawrence Montagna (Susan) and Pamela Jakubowski; his grandchildren, David (Taylor), Andrew (Courtney), Jonathan (Cynthia), Caitlyn (Mike), Julia (Tyler), Eric and Jason; and his great grandchildren, Cayden, Riley, Kieran, Calley Jo, Jameson, Mia, Jack and Emilia.
