She is survived by: her husband David Johnston; her daughters, Melissa McGuinness (Bill) and Keshia Riel (Rob Wenzel); her grandchildren, Anthony (Jasmine), Liam, Autumn, Connor, Carl and Emma; her siblings, Carole Sweet (Walter), Thomas Small, Joanne Ciarla (Giuseppe) and Karen Carlin; and her close friend Maria Lough.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Church (35 Chestnut St, Springfield, MA 01103).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathy's memory may be made to Christ Church Cathedral.
