He is survived by: his wife Mary Chappell; his children, Lonnie "Lucky" Chappell III of Jacksonville, NC, Lonnell Chappell of Atlanta, GA, Alon Chappell of Springfield, MA, Bernadette Dixon (Kenneth) of Jacksonville, NC, LaTanya Lyons (Gregory) of Jacksonville, NC, Renee Walker of Jacksonville, NC, Veronica "Roni" Kellum of Las Vegas, CA, Dorika "Shana" Chappell of Atlanta, GA, Monique Chappell of Atlanta, GA and Alexis Chappell of Springfield, MA; his siblings-in-law, John Petris, Jr. of Dundee, NY, Mike Petris of Corning, NY, Dave Petris of Corning, NY and Kathy Petris of Chicopee, MA.; and his caregiver Joanne Spinelli. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
