He was predeceased by: his parents, Saturno Alvarez and Antonia Dones; and his son Luis E. Alvarez, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Angel Alvarez, Carlos Alvarez, Raul Alvarez, Ana Alvarez and Sonia Alvarez; his granddaughter Cristal Figueroa; and his siblings, Miguel Dones and Elena Dones. He is also survived by Twelve Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
