He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcelino Espino and Ana Rosario; his son Edwin Espino; and his siblings, Esteban Espino, Miguel Espino, Guillermo Maisonet and Ana Espino.
He is survived by: his wife Aida Hernandez; his children, Luis Figueroa, Johnny Hernandez, Carmen Espino, Ana Espino and Sandy Williams; and his sister Carmen Espino.
