It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maria Rosa Colaccino (Springfield, Massachusetts), who passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Antonio "Tony" Colaccino; and her sisters, Rosina Frijia and Josephina Negrelli. She is survived by: her sons, Dominic Colaccino (Christine) of Belchertown, Frank Colaccino (Norma) of Suffield, CT, Joseph A. Colaccino of Springfield and David P. Colaccino (Jody) of Enfield, CT.; her grandchildren, Kara, Andrea, Laura, Brianna, Giavanna, Gabriella, Alana and Juliana; and her great grandchildren, Evan, Emma, Aubrey, Jacob, Olivia, Travis and Daniel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 8:45 AM and at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maria's name to Mercy Hospital, PO Box 9012, Springfield, MA 01102-9012, Jewish Geriatric Services, 770 Converse St., Longmeadow, MA 01106, or Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 123 William St., Springfield, MA 01105.
